Film & TV
Our Film & TV program is now a 2-year completing sequence. Like my Marketing Program, we offer the 3rd year level since it was once 3-years to complete and we have juniors that are very interested in this field and want a class to help them with their career choices. Through our reduced scheduling and schedule conflicts our program was struggling last year, so we set up about recruiting from our younger classes on campus, now although our advanced class is small this year, our 1st level single class is maxed out with 21 students. So continuing to make it a program that thrives is good goal for Film & TV. This year we introduced Garageband and the students are creating their own music, sound tracks and scores for videos. I'm looking forward to the new focus on audio, we are beefing up our studio and have a new sound room being worked on currently. Students in both levels will create PSA's, stop-motion animations, and use special effects and green screen technology in our own studio, just to name a few of the skills they will pick up. We have a lot going on and it's always a lot of fun. Now, let's get started.

Now a 2-year completer program, the first level. Film & TV 1 is all about different skills and projects. Includes, PSA's, Short Films and Stop Motion animation. The advanced levels take on Announcements in whatever form we are running them
Our CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) is SkillsUSA. For the past few years we have taken our students to State competition and each year our Broadcast News team keeps getting better, 3 and 4 years ago, we took Silver medals and then year before last got a 6 place medal.

We are still transitioning and figuring out a curriculum based on hands-on projects in this new norm for us. Stay tuned as to how we progress.
